Welcome to Echoes Foundation: Rebuilding the broken generation

At Echoes Foundation, we are more than just a nonprofit—we are a movement dedicated to healing and empowering those who have faced life’s toughest battles. For the past four years, we’ve provided free therapy sessions to victims of trauma and offered skill-building programs to low-income communities, all with a single goal: to restore and rebuild a broken generation.

Our mission is rooted in the understanding that our society is deeply fractured. Hurt people often pass on their pain, perpetuating cycles of brokenness. That’s why communication and understanding are at the heart of what we do. At Echoes Foundation, we believe in walking alongside people, guiding them on a purposeful path toward healing. Each individual receives tailored support, from therapy sessions to access to resources and training, to help them recover and reclaim their lives.

One of our key discoveries is that the challenges people face are as diverse as the communities they come from. Many of the individuals we encounter struggle with basic access—access to education, healthcare, infrastructure, and even the opportunity to dream. It’s heartbreaking to see that, for many, survival is the only goal.

Rebuilding is no easy task. It means tearing down old foundations—ideologies, cultural norms, and mentalities that have allowed abuse, crushed dreams, and hindered progress. At Echoes Foundation, we are committed to this difficult but necessary work. We’ve fought alongside individuals, families, and communities, helping them to overcome their pasts and build brighter futures.

Our journey has just begun, and we’re inviting you to join us. This isn’t just about financial support; we need your passion, your energy, and your commitment to help us create lasting change.

What We’ve Achieved So Far

In our four years of operation, Echoes Foundation has made a significant impact across Nigeria. We’ve provided free therapy to over 50 individuals, including children, helping them navigate life’s challenges and recover from their trauma. We’ve established three community learning centers, offering skill-building programs that have empowered people to become self-sufficient. Our alumni, from diverse backgrounds, are now thriving independently.

We’ve also organized a variety of community projects and outreach programs, including:

  • The Cut Sunday
  • Photography Walk
  • The Healing Room
  • Love in Lagos
  • Free Hug Campaign
  • Rebuilding with BalmBam
  • Run to Heal
  • The Conversation
  • Children Day Fest
  • Parents Briefing
  • Love Rush
  • Open Mic

Our skill programs cover a wide range of interests, from Ankara Craft and Horticulture to Mechanical Engineering, Crochet, Art and Painting, and more. We also offer courses in Self-Defense, First Aid, and Yoruba Language.

Supporting Our Cause

Our fundraisers, including Yard Sales, Card Games, and Wash Day, along with our Centers Drive and United Partners initiatives, help us sustain our work. Our counseling sessions are led by volunteers trained as psychological first aiders and certified by John Hopkins University and UNFPA GBV.

We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished, but there is still so much more to do. As we look to the future, we ask you to walk this path with us. Together, we can continue to rebuild lives and create a society where everyone has the opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive.
